The first edition of the Sacyr Innovation Awards in Chile had 44 nominations. This initiative, organized by Sacyr Foundation, has had the support of the Innovation Center of the Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) Anacleto Angelini and the economic newspaper Pulso.

Through this initiative Sacyr Foundation seeks to recognize the talent and contribution of innovative initiatives that add up to the infrastructures industry and associated services in Chile. As well as strengthening the link between companies, entrepreneurs, universities and public administrations.

Sacyr Foundation will award a national and a regional award, each consisting of 15 million Chilean pesos (approximately EUR 20,000), which will be chosen by a Technical Assessment Committee and by a top level jury.

Sacyr's Innovation Area Manager, Víctor Armijos, points out that 'these awards will be a contribution to innovation towards companies, increasing competitiveness levels and making it a benchmark company in the construction industry'.
