Sacyr Industrial expanded the refinery.

The oil distillation capacity of Repsol's refinery will be increased by 20%

Lima, 19 October 2016. Yesterday, the President of Peru, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, accompanied by the Presidents of Repsol and Sacyr, Antonio Brufau and Manuel Manrique, together with other political and business authorities, inaugurated the expansion of Repsol's refinery in La Pampilla (Peru), which was performed by Sacyr Industrial.

The project undertaken by Sacyr Industrial included the engineering, supply and construction of refinery expansion to adapt fuels to new Peruvian environmental regulations, thereby complying with the required sulfur levels in the range of medium distillates.

This expansion will allow the refinery to take complete advantage of the currently installed oil distillation capacity, plus increase it by an additional 20%. It will also facilitate the processing of heavy crude oils, which have a greater sulfur content and are also available in the region. Bringing these new units into production represents a relevant and historical milestone for the La Pampilla Refinery and for the country's energy development.

This project consolidates and further strengthens Sacyr Industrial in the oil & gas sector, in which it has already undertaken projects in Bolivia and Spain, in addition to various projects carried out in Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia, the United Kingdom and Spain on electrical infrastructures, energy plants and waste treatment.
