Sacyr : Valoriza Facilities enters the comprehensive services to buildings sector in Chile

• The company, a subsidiary of Sacyr, signs a €4.5-million-contract with a shopping mall located in the north of the country.

Valoriza Facilities, a subsidiary of Sacyr, has entered, within its growth and internationalization strategy, in the property management, operation and comprehensive maintenance services sector in Chile.

The company has started its activity in the Andean country with several management contracts of buildings, among which the one signed with one of the biggest shopping malls of the country, Mall Zofri, located in Iquique, in the north of the country. The contract has a value of €4.5 million and a term of 36 months. The mall has a constructed surface of 38,000 m2 and over 400 stores.

This new line of business reinforces and complements Sacyr's presence in Chile. The Spanish multinational company is the main private investor in infrastructure, where it has eight concessional assets. Sacyr has a track record of 20 years in the country.

The company also began its activity in the Chilean industrial business, and in the last months has been awarded several construction and maintenance contracts of electrical infrastructures.

Valoriza Facilities is one of the leading Spanish companies providing Facility Management and Facility Services. Valoriza Facilities is part of the Multiservices area, which in 2016 reached a turnover of €292 million, 35% more than the previous year. The portfolio closed the year at about €1 billion.

Chile is the first country within the international growth strategy of Valoriza Facilities. In addition to the Mall Zofri contract, it has other contracts with public and private clients.
