Sacyr Water, within its business diversification policy, increases its water purification activity in the agrofood sector with a new contract to manage purification systems in the Peña Santa food corporation production centers (Capsa Foods) in Siero (Asturias) and Zarzalejo (Madrid).

Sacyr Water, in constant collaboration with its customers, is committed to the circular economy by implementing technologies that contribute to the reduction of energy consumption and evaluating waste.

Valoriza Agua is now Sacyr Water

Sacyr Water (previously Valoriza Agua) carries out the management of the integral cycle of water and the design, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of all kinds of water treatment plants. Its activity includes the purification, treatment and reuse of industrial water and the desalination of brackish and sea waters, among others.

With more than 300 plants built and designed in Spain, Portugal, Algeria, Tunisia, the Middle East, Brazil, Australia, Chile and Oman, it is the sixth largest company in terms of desalinated water capacity in the world and the first in Spain with a production of 2.2 million m3/day installed (equivalent to providing for 14.6 million people), according to the ranking of the International Desalination Association (IDA) for the 2006-2017 period.
