Sacyr : awarded in Chile for its job safety innovation program

Within the context of the closing of its Todos Incluidos campaign, the Municipality of Quillota awarded Sacyr for its job safety innovation program, which the company has implemented in the construction of the Quillota-Petorca Biprovincial Hospital, as well as in the Costanera and Autopista Central works.

This program, which began in 2016, aims to improve the safety conditions of on-site workers. To this end, it incorporates people who have suffered from work-related accidents as safety supervisors. These supervisors work together with the labor risks prevention personnel in the works to supervise that all employees respect the safety rules and thus prevent potential accidents.

Sacyr's Safety Manager Marcos Casalderrey stated that, 'the recognition of the Municipality of Quillota enables us to continue validating our program, through which we not only aim to improve safety in our works, but also to expand employment opportunities with a view towards inclusion and innovation'.

The program was also presented at the 2017 Mutual Summit, one of the major events on health and safety at work in Chile.

At the event, organized by Mutual de Seguridad, and with the participation of various authorities and companies, Marcos Casalderrey had the chance to explain the program, along with a video by Sacyr with the testimonies of workers and their colleagues.
