The Government of Navarre has allocated Sacyr, through its subsidiary Valoriza Conservación de Infraestructuras, the integral performance of road preservation of the Tudela and Tafalla (Navarre) preservation centers for a total amount of 19 million euros.

The comprehensive road maintenance contract of the Tudela Preservation Center is for a period of 45 months and 9.91 million euros and covers 586 Km, of which 64 Km are on the A-68 (Ebro Freeway). The work will involve a payroll of 26 people and 7 snowploughs for the winter road clearing.

The preservation for the Tafalla center amounts to 9.2 million euros over a period of 45 months. The contract includes 577 Km of conventional roads, so Valoriza will have a payroll of 30 people with 9 snowploughs. The most critical road section in the winter is the NA-115 to the south of the sector, which has an approximate altitude of 800 meters.

The work that will be done by Valoriza Conservación de Infraestructuras includes the road preservation, attention to incidents and emergencies, ordinary maintenance which includes clearing the roadsides of plants, painting and hole repair with hot agglomerate; cleaning of the road surface and surroundings, repairs of bumps, sealing of cracks, sign replacement, barriers. The work involving winter road maintenance will involve both prevention and snow removal from the roads and extraordinary maintenance such as repairs and reformations. With these contracts, Valoriza Conservación de Infraestructuras is consolidated as one of the principal road preservation companies in Spain, where it maintains more than 6,000 kilometers of road surface on motorways, freeways and conventional roads. Moreover, in Chile it will be responsible for the maintenance of a further 850 kilometers of motorways and roads.
