Saint-Gobain in Italy has launched on its corporate website the country's first BIM (Building Information Modeling) library of Saint-Gobain integrated solutions. It pre-empts the New Public Procurement Regulation, which will promote the use of BIM for public building and infrastructure projects.

This new tool will help building professionals reduce errors, save time and money, and improve the efficiency and profitability of their projects. The object can be selected by application (external or interior walls, roofing, etc.), keyword (glass wool, glass, etc.), brand, or level of comfort (thermal, acoustic, visual, etc.).

The BIM interface also provides a very detailed presentation of the solutions: 2D and 3D graphic representations, technical data sheets, certifications and information about the comfort they can provide.
