Milan, 15 September 2014 - The Salini Impregilo group has been awarded a contract in Poland with a total share of 95%, for the design and construction of the ring road north of Warsaw on the S8 expressway to Bialystok between Marki and Radzymin (Lot 1) for a length of about 8 km. The contract value is approximately € 80 million and the works will last 32 months.

The project aims at relieving urban traffic congestion and includes the construction of two interchanges (the "Zielonka" junction and "Kobyłka" junction), 9 major engineering structures (5 bridges, 2 flyovers and 2 underpasses), and the resurfacing of other secondary and local roads, with particular attention to environmental protection.
The award of this new contract allows the group to consolidate its presence in Poland's infrastructure sector where it is already working on the completion of the construction of the A1 motorway.

At the same time, through one of the group's companies, Salini Impregilo S.p.A. has been awarded a contract in Italy for a total value of 44.5 million euro and a  share of 35%.
