To demonstrate the importance of these learning journeys, the SAP Education organization will be hosting a networking session at SAP TechEd Las Vegas to provide valuable information on skills development and to explore how these learning journeys can address specific enablement needs.

Learning journeys serve as visual guides, providing users of all levels with the road maps they need to navigate their digital transformation. The learning journeys show the available courses and how they complement each other. They help users identify their roles and make it easy for them to engage in training that will develop the skills they need to bring them the greatest success. Because the visualizations provide a high-level overview of topics and courses, each user can make selections based on their specific goals, role, area of interest, prior knowledge and learning needs.

'We believe learning journeys will provide users with the visual tools they need to maximize their investment in SAP S/4HANA and move through their digital transformation,' said Bernd Welz, executive vice president, Scale, Enablement and Transformation, SAP SE. 'In tandem with these offers we are proud to introduce a variety of new courses for the openSAP platform to help equip our customers with the tools they need to survive in an increasingly technologically sophisticated business environment.'

To continue supporting professionals as they look to improve their digital skills, openSAP has released two new course offerings covering business warehousing and finance and HR in the cloud. The specific online course offerings are:

  • SAP BW/4HANA in a Nutshell : Aimed at business intelligence and data warehouse managers, consultants, implementation experts, architects and developers, this course provides a high-level overview of the SAP BW/4HANA solution. The course consists of lectures, system demonstrations and a course assignment complemented by an online forum in which students participate in discussions.
  • HR + Finance with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors: Over the course of five units, students gain a complete understanding of finance and HR in the cloud. Areas of focus include how an end-to-end suite and a digital core can help organizations manage real-world cases. Other in-depth topics include how the SAP S/4HANA suite helps executives digitize and transform business. Also discussed is how dashboards, by displaying operational information in the form of key performance indicators in real time, can impact financial performance, such as profitability.

During the networking session on SAP S/4HANA at SAP TechEd, the team from SAP Education will discuss enablement needs and explore how specific learning journeys for SAP S/4HANA can meet those needs. Various learning journeys focus on on-premise and cloud deployments of SAP S/4HANA, including an introduction to SAP S/4HANA and an implementation walk-through of SAP S/4HANA using the SAP Activate innovation adoption framework. Business process fundamentals and embedded analytics are also covered. Learning journeys are also available for the SAP HANA platform, SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and administration of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. Additional learning journeys focus on SAP Solution Manager as well as on the technology and design standards employed by the SAP Fiori user experience, thus enabling the development of cutting-edge business apps for SAP S/4HANA.

openSAP is an online learning platform from SAP. All learning materials are accessible from any device, and the platform features massive open online course (MOOCs) for enterprises that allow users to learn at their own pace. The courses, which use tried and trusted classroom concepts, are free of charge. Included in the course format are weekly assignments, discussion forums and final exams. SAP Learning Hub provides a cloud-based enterprise learning management solution. It enables people to learn the ins and outs of SAP software systems and allows them to update their skills regularly specific to implementation, operation and use.
