International real estate advisor Savills has been appointed as retail agent by Gravity Fitness Limited as the firm seeks new space as part of its UK-wide expansion drive.

The Yorkshire-based indoor trampoline park operator has agreed a 10-year lease on an 18,000 sq ft (1,672 sq m) unit at Xscape in Castleford where its first park will open in early 2015.  It is now looking for additional spaces between 6,000 sq ft (557 sq m) and 16,000 sq ft (1,486 sq m) in high footfall locations such as shopping centres, high streets and retail or leisure parks.

Steve Henderson, retail director at Savills, comments: "This is a fantastic addition to Yorkshire's leisure offer and we are very pleased to be involved.  Trampoline parks are a big business in the US and we are already seeking second and third sites for Gravity as the concept takes off in the UK."

Harvey Jenkinson of Gravity Fitness Limited adds: "We are delighted to be launching our first site in Yorkshire and excited by the potential growth in the market further afield too."
