AO.com, represented by Savills, has agreed an off market deal with Prologis to occupy the entire Crossflow380 building in Crewe.

The online domestic appliances retailer has taken a new 10-year lease on the 386,753 sq ft (35,929 sq m) distribution warehouse, complementing its existing 360,000 sq ft (33,444 sq m) facility in Crewe. Crossflow 380, which is located on Weston Road, provides links to the national motorway network via the nearby Junction 16 of the M6.

Jonathan Atherton, industrial director at Savills, comments: 'We are pleased to have completed this significant acquisition to facilitate the continued expansion of AO.com. Crewe has firmly become AO's logistics base for the UK, offering both connectivity to the M6 and a strong local workforce. Both factors influenced the decision to expand in the town.'

Prologis was unrepresented.
