Sberbank Wins HSBC's GBP Payments Straight-Through Excellence Award for 2013

April 23, 2014, Moscow - Sberbank has been recognized by HSBC Bank plc, London, for the exceptionally high Straight-Through Processing Rate of its payments denominated in British Pounds (GBP) for 2013.

The Straight-Through Processing Rate (STP) is a broadly recognised in the international banking community criteria displaying quality of payment documents and extent of their conformance to uniform standards for straight-through processing in the settlement process.

As it was pointed out at the presentation ceremony, Sberbank has been awarded for the third time in succession since the Award itself was introduced by HSBC in 2011on the Russian market. Sberbank's straight-through processing rate exceeded 99 p.c. This rate brings Sberbank out to one of the leaders amongst not only Russian but many foreign banks that maintain accounts with HSBC Bank plc.

This international Award is a result of productive cooperation of both financial institutions in the area of settlement business and serves as an obvious recognition of Sberbank's success in permanent improving quality of payment formatting.
