Notice on Final Judgments in the Lawsuits Filed Against Facta Publishing Ltd.

SBI Holdings, Inc. (hereafter "SBIH") announces that with regard to the two defamation lawsuits filed against Facta Publishing Ltd. and its representative director, Mr. Shigeo Abe (hereafter "Facta Publishing, etc.") in which SBIH, etc. sought compensatory damages and other remedies, the final judgment was reached for each case as follows.
For the first suit filed as of 7 March 2012, the Tokyo District Court fully agreed with SBIH's claims in its judgment issued on 29 January 2014.
For the second suit filed as of 30 August 2012, Facta Publishing, etc. had filed an appeal against the Tokyo District Court's judgment in favor of SBIH, etc. issued on 17 July 2013. To this, the Tokyo High Court rejected the appeal made by Facta Publishing, etc. and issued its judgment in favor of SBIH, etc. on 13 February 2014 that fully agreed with the claims made by SBIH, etc.
The deadline to file an appeal for the first suit came to an end on 17 February 2014 and that to file the final appeal for the second suit came to an end yesterday. Since Facta Publishing, etc. made no filing for either case, the final judgments were reached in favor of SBIH, etc. for both lawsuits.
Facta Publishing, etc. was ordered to pay a total of JPY 11 million as compensation for damages
(first suit: JPY 5 million; second suit: JPY 6 million) in accordance with the judgments issued.
