CAYCE, S.C., Oct. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SCANA Corporation (NYSE: SCG) announced the election of two new members to its Board of Directors today - Mrs. Sharon A. Decker and Mr. Gregory E. Aliff.

SCANA's Board of Directors voted on October 29, 2015 to increase the size of the SCANA Corporation Board from ten to twelve members. The Board elected Mrs. Decker and Mr. Aliff to serve in the newly created seats until the next Annual Meeting of Shareholders at which time the Board plans to propose each for election by the shareholders.

Mrs. Decker previously served on SCANA's Board of Directors from December 2005 until December 2012 when she resigned in order to accept an appointment to serve as the Secretary of Commerce for North Carolina. Mrs. Decker held the Secretary of Commerce position from January 2013 until December 2014. She currently serves as a Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. She also serves on the Board of Coca Cola Bottling Consolidated and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Mr. Aliff, a certified public accountant, retired from Deloitte & Touche LLP in May 2015, after serving as a Partner for 28 years. During his career at Deloitte, Mr. Aliff served as the Vice Chairman and Senior Partner of Energy Resources, Deloitte LLP, and he was a leader of Deloitte's Energy and Natural Resources Management Services. Mr. Aliff is an expert in the utility industry and has been the author and co-author of utility related reference books and industry specific articles. He also serves as a Director of California Water Service Group, Inc., in San Jose, CA and Grid Alternatives in Oakland, CA.
