Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Construction and Unit 1 Outage Weather Update

Cayce, S.C., Oct. 5, 2015... The Columbia area has experienced severe weather resulting in flooding in some areas. The only impact to new nuclear construction at the Virgil C. Summer nuclear site from this weather event is the loss of about four days of work effort due to the weather. Unit 1 is in a refueling outage and the weather has had minimal impact on that process.
