Reference is made to the information given in
the presentation at the extraordinary general
meeting on 30 September 2011 (attached to the
stock exchange notice the same day),
regarding a parent company guarantee relating
to removal of slag given to the operator of a
slag storage used by ScanArc ASA's former
subsidiary Eras Metal AS.
On basis of inquiries of the circumstances in
connection with the issuing of the parent
company guarantee, the Board of directors of
ScanArc ASA has decided to declare to the
operator of the slag storage that ScanArc ASA
considers itself not to be bound by the
guarantee.
