The first company to be invested in by Scania Growth Capital fund has brought its smart factory technology to Scania's Södertälje site.

Enersize Oy is a Finnish company that has developed a software which can help factories achieve significant energy savings in their industrial compressed air systems. Industrial compressed air is used in 90 percent of factories worldwide and accounts for five percent of total global electricity consumption. Enersize estimates that energy savings of up to 30 percent can be achieved through the technology, and the company is a perfect fit with Scania's sustainability goals.

Enersize's Chairman Christian Merheim and CEO Sami Mykännen were on hand in Södertälje to set up the system and see two of Scania's compressed air facilities. In the accompanying film Christian and Sami explain how the technology works, while they and Daniel Wedberg, CEO of Scania Growth Capital, tell us what the Scania investment will mean for both companies.
