New COO for the Schaffner Group

Luterbach, 29 September 2017 - The Board of Directors of Schaffner Holding AG has appointed Max Bänziger (50) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the Executive Committee. He will take up this position on 1 April 2018 at the latest. Max Bänziger replaces Ah Bee Goh (66), who will retire as Vice President Global Manufacturing and COO after more than ten years with the Schaffner Group.

Max Bänziger holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich. His professional track record includes leadership experience in operations management in electronics manufacturing and instrumentation with a focus on production, supply chain and quality management in industrial automation. Max Bänziger began his career as a consultant with IBM and PwC. Between 2004 and 2011, he was Head of Operations in the Laboratory & Weighing Technologies division at Mettler Toledo and subsequently held the same position in the Wires+Cables division at Huber+Suhner. Max Bänziger is currently COO of the Carlo Gavazzi Group.
