SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH announces inspection at Deutsche Edelstahlwerke


Lucerne, 12 November 2015 - SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG, a global leader in special long steel, announced that the German Federal Cartel Office ('Deutsches Bundeskartellamt') has today inspected its German subsidiary Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH (DEW). The inspection is related to possible anti- competitive practices in connection with the fixation of alloy surcharges at several companies of the special steel sector. DEW takes the allegations seriously and fully cooperates with the authorities in order to ensure a quick and complete clarification of the issue. Further information cannot be provided currently.
