Rueil-Malmaison (France), December 17, 2014 - Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, announced that D.K. Singh will lead the Global Purchasing function as Chief Purchasing Officer, effective January 1, 2015. D.K. will have oversight of a €12B spend across a global community of production and non-production suppliers creating value for Schneider Electric's customers. He reports to Annette Clayton, Chief Supply Chain Officer, and member of the company's Executive Committee.

D.K. most recently served as the Chief Procurement Officer of ConAgra Foods Inc., an American packaged foods company, and managed enterprise spend delivering significant synergies and impact to the company's top and bottom lines. This was accomplished by leveraging strategic partnerships with suppliers and working with cross-functional stakeholders. Over the course of his 27-year career, D.K. has also held senior leadership positions in Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and General Management with Motorola and IBM.

D.K. received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from GB Pant University in India and also has an MS in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, USA. He will be based initially in Chicago, Illinois.
