Accounting and financial reporting veteran Melissa Mick has joined Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE:SNI) in the role of senior vice president and corporate controller. Accounting and financial reporting veteran Melissa Mick has joined Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE:SNI) in the role of senior vice president and corporate controller. (Photo: Business Wire)

Mick is based at the company’s headquarters in Knoxville. She reports to Lori Hickok, executive vice president of finance.

“Melissa Mick is a financial executive with the experience and passion Scripps Networks Interactive needs to help it prosper and grow,” Hickok said. “She has a proven track record of success guiding accounting and financial reporting at organizations in rapidly transforming industries. Mick most recently served as chief accounting officer and vice president controller at MedExpress Urgent Care based in Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she spent several years with L Brands Inc. (formerly Limited Brands Inc.) and Express Inc. in various roles of increasing responsibilities. She started her professional career as an auditor in public accounting with both a regional firm and Ernst & Young LLP.

Mick is a graduate of Ohio University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She also is a certified public accountant.
