SDL (LSE: SDL) today announced the appointment of Vince Cortese as General Manager for the Americas. In his role, Cortese will be responsible for growing SDL Americas business in close collaboration with partners.

Cortese joins SDL from Adobe where he managed the North America Strategic Accounts organization and was responsible for the entire digital marketing suite of solutions and account support ecosystem, including sales, consulting, account management and solution consulting. In this role, he managed a $120M book of business and saw $50M in net new revenue.

Also at Adobe, Cortese served as GVP Sales, Digital Marketing Solutions as well as Director Sales, Personalization Solutions. In these roles, he managed solution-specific businesses across various verticals while also recruiting, training and developing the sales team, implementing sales processes, rebuilding partner relationships and working to introduce new product lines. Prior to Adobe, Cortese served in a variety of sales management roles at ChoiceStream, Unica Corporation, Clarify, Inc., Gartner Group and Xerox Corporation.
