SDL plc ('SDL', 'Group' or the 'Company'), a leader in Customer Experience Management solutions, announces today that its founder and Chief Executive Officer Mark Lancaster will be stepping down from the Board and his role as CEO of the Company with immediate effect and will be leaving the Company on 31 October 2015.

The Board will appoint shortly an International Search firm to identify suitable candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer. In the interim period, David Clayton, currently Non-Executive Chairman of SDL will assume the role of Executive Chairman.

The Board reconfirms that, as per its interim results for the period ended 30 June 2015 published on 4 August 2015, trading for the full year remains in line with its expectations.

David Clayton, Chairman of SDL said: 'Having founded the business in 1992, Mark has been responsible for building a world leading business. He stepped down from the role of CEO in 2010, becoming Executive Chairman, returning to the CEO role in 2012 to navigate the Company through a number of strategic challenges in a fast evolving market. With Mark stepping down, new leadership will be appointed to take the Company to the next phase in its development.'
