ACTON, Mass., Nov. 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With its sights set on attracting the world's premier talent in software development and video delivery, multiscreen innovator SeaChange International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEAC) has appointed global human resources expert Martha Restrepo to Vice President, Human Resources. Ms. Restrepo brings SeaChange a 20-year track record for tightly integrating human resources with all business functions to measurably improve the operations and financial performance of Fortune 500 brands. She leads an international talent management and acquisition team based in the U.S., the Netherlands and the Philippines.

Ms. Restrepo joins SeaChange from Monster Worldwide where, as a senior director, she led top-to-bottom HR strategic execution across developing markets in Africa, Europe and Latin America, focusing on the company's entry in 62 countries. Serving as an HR director and vice president for Spectrum Brands, Restrepo doubled seasonal recruitment year-over-year and established an HR execution plan that contributed to a strong period of retail revenue growth. During her three years with The Hershey Company, she designed and led HR strategies supporting domestic sales and international operations. Her career started with a 15-year tenure for PepsiCo International, which was focused on Latin America operations and saw her lead HR's role in corporate acquisition due diligence.

"The best known brands in television and content rely on the ideas, innovations and service of SeaChange employees, who ultimately affect the satisfaction and enjoyment of millions of video consumers around the world," said SeaChange CEO Jay Samit. "Martha's skill set will amplify our magnetic strength to attract and cultivate the premier talent behind the SeaChange brand as we turn on multiscreen, OTT and mobile video services that build viewership and drive ratings."

Martha Restrepo added, "SeaChange's twenty-year sole focus on creating premium video experiences has produced a formidable talent pool. Our human resources strategy will ensure we retain, develop, and grow the depth of intelligence and resources to bring our customers' newest visions to reality."
