HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears Holdings (NASDAQ: SHLD) announced today that William Hutchinson will join the company as senior vice president and president, Supply Chain. Mr. Hutchinson most recently served as vice president of global fulfillment and logistics for Dell, Inc. in Round Rock, Texas. He succeeds Mr. Raj Penkar who has led the company's Supply Chain business unit since 2011. Mr. Penkar will retire from Sears Holdings on May 31, 2014.

In his new role with the company, Mr. Hutchinson will be accountable for all aspects of the company's supply chain, including distribution, transportation, customs compliance and global sourcing.

During his time with Dell, Mr. Hutchinson spent seven years with the company in logistics roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to that, he held the role of vice president, logistics and supply chain, with Best Buy Company, Inc. from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Hutchinson also served as vice president, transportation, for Rite Aid Corporation from 2002 to 2005 and held supply chain roles with Accenture, Commerx and Andersen Consulting.

Mr. Hutchinson received a Master's of Business Administration in Logistics and Transportation/Marketing, from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tenn., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance, Cum Laude, from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.
