New European Research Center for Interlayer Films for Laminated Glass in the Netherlands

SEKISUI S-LEC B.V. (Head office: Roermond, Netherlands; President: Yoshio Aoshima, hereinafter called 'SEKISUI S-LEC B.V.'), which manufactures and sells interlayer films for laminated glass as a 100% subsidiary of SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (President: Teiji Koge; hereinafter called 'Sekisui Chemical') opened its European Research Center at the Brightlands Chemelot open innovation campus in Sittard-Geleen, where SEKISUI S-LEC B.V. has a factory for interlayer film raw materials resin, on June 14.
Interlayer films for laminated glass are used in vehicles and buildings. General interlayer films function to prevent spatter and penetration when the glass is broken, and to cuts UV rays, etc., but Sekisui Chemical has poured its efforts into the development and sale of high-performance interlayer film with special added functions such as noise prevention, heat prevention, decoration, and heads-up displays, etc. As a result, our products are currently used worldwide, mostly in vehicles.
