Serco's guests on the Caledonian Sleeper got into the Christmas spirit this week - thanks to a festive musical performance.

One of Scotland's oldest bands joined the overnight service for the journey from London to Aberdeen, performing much-loved Christmas tunes in the Lounge Car to the delight of guests.

This marks the second time the Granite City Brass Band has performed on board the Caledonian Sleeper, with the group being invited back following rave reviews last Christmas.

The performance from the Aberdeen-based group is part of a series of on board events, all of which aim to highlight the best of Scotland's cultural offering.
Ryan Flaherty, Serco's Guest Experience Director for Caledonian Sleeper said: 'The Granite City Brass Band were a huge success last year so we were absolutely delighted to welcome them on board once again.

'They have a unique take on some of the most famous Christmas songs and I know that the performance went down extremely well with our guests - who I'm sure left the Caledonian Sleeper filled with festive cheer!'

James Boulton of the Granite City Brass Band said: 'The band were delighted to return to Caledonian Sleeper this year and put guests into a festive mood by sharing some classic Christmas tunes'.
