Overnight rail service Caledonian Sleeper brought indulgence to guests travelling south of the border as a Valentine's Day treat.

Hosted in partnership with luxury chocolatier Hotel Chocolat, the event was held on the Glasgow to London service on Tuesday 13 February and offered guests the chance to sample a selection of 10 handmade chocolates.

The interactive workshop also provided the opportunity to learn more about how to taste chocolate, the cocoa growing process, varied chocolate flavours and textures as well as a goody bag.

Ryan Flaherty, Serco's Guest Experience Director of Caledonian Sleeper, commented: 'There's no better time to indulge in luxury chocolate than on Valentine's Day so we treated our guests to a special event created with the perfect partner, Hotel Chocolat.

'Renowned for their award-winning chocolates and gifts, the company served the very best of their range to guests in the comfort of the on board lounge car as well as provided an insight into the art of chocolate making.'

The chocolate tasting event followed Caledonian Sleeper's launch of a new calendar of events for 2018 which features everything from magic workshops for kids to arm knitting. To find out more about the upcoming events and confirmed dates, visit www.facebook.com/caledoniansleeper.
