Serco Inc., a provider of professional, technology, and management services to the Federal, State, and Local governments, announced today the appointment of Tom Watson as Senior Vice President, Federal Services. In this position, Watson will oversee operations and lead business development strategies within the Citizen Services and Defense market sectors. The Federal Services business unit provides services in the areas of intelligence, logistics, personnel readiness, acquisition and program management, modelling, simulation and training, business processing, and case management to Defense and Federal Civilian agencies. Watson will report to Serco's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dave Dacquino.

Watson brings to Serco over 25 years of experience in providing services to the U.S. Federal Government. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of SAIC's Navy and Marine Corps Customer Group. In this position, Watson led a 4,500-person organization with annual revenue of approximately $1 billion. Before joining SAIC in 1996, Watson worked at RCI (now Serco) providing technical and engineering support for U.S. Navy intelligence systems. His career also includes six years active duty in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician.
