Severstal' : Severstal appoits Chief Iformatio Officer

Severstal is pleased to announce the appointment of Sergey Dunaev as Chief Information Officer of AO Severstal Management and Chief Executive Officer of OAO Severstal Infocom, with effect from May 22, 2017. In this role he will be responsible for developing and driving the company's IT strategy, and for consolidating the company's IT management systems in line with international best practices to further strengthen Severstal's competitive advantages.

Sergey Dunaev will report into Alexey Kulichenko, Chief Financial Officer of Severstal.

Evgeny Akimov, currently acting Chief Information Officer of AO Severstal Management and Chief Executive Officer of OAO Severstal Infocom, will continue to manage Severstal's SAP Development and support center.

Alexey Kulichenko said:

'I am delighted that Sergey has agreed to return to Severstal to take up this role. I believe that his leadership qualities, customer orientation and valuable experience gained during the last few years will help us take Severstal's IT function to the next level. Sergey Dunaev said:

The IT-team will be focused on creating value ​​for Severstal's business units and enhancing their IT engagement.'

Sergey Dunaev has worked at SAP SE since October 2014, where he manages a team of service and support partners responsible for interacting with strategic customers in the CIS, including Gazprom, Lukoil, Severstal, Sberbank, Metalloinvest, NLMK and Samruk. He previously spent five years as IFRS manager at Severstal, where he also held the roles of Finance Manager at the ERP project office (Severstal Resources), Project Manager at the Shared Service Center (SSC), head of the Deployment [team/department] of the ERP project office (Severstal Russian Steel), head of the SAP Development and Support Center. Prior to this, he worked for Eurochem and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sergey graduated from the department of Management in Power Engineering at the State University of Management.
