SGS presented its Hospitality Experience Program (HX) at the Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, the country's largest tourism event. The exhibition took place from March 28 to 30 and was attended by Ukrainian and foreign hoteliers from 24 countries around the world.

Cipriano Ferreiro Rachon, Global Project Manager of Travel and Hospitality Solutions at SGS in the Ukraine, gave a presentation on the trends and top non-conformities in the hospitality industry, which included HX and its benefits. The presentation highlighted SGS's ability to develop solutions for different sectors and to meet different needs within the tourism industry.

Rachon states, 'It is more important than ever for hotels in the country to ensure that they are doing all they can to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction. SGS is prepared to make sure that Ukraine's hospitality industry is well-equipped to meet global standards and ensure exceptional levels of safety, service, sustainability and security.'

SGS has signed a partnership memorandum with the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine (NTOU). SGS will provide audits of hotels using a checklist designed by NTOU that includes European hotel requirements. The SGS report will be used to categorize each hotel. SGS will also work with NTOU to develop and implement certification schemes for other sectors of the tourism infrastructure, such as beaches, national parks, etc.
