Working with Area Minera Medios, SGS has organized MINSEG 2017 in Antofagasta, Chile, the first national seminar aimed at generating a collaborative forum discussion to reduce mining fatalities, while taking into account current regulations, safety policies and safety management systems.

Alain Denielle, SGS Corporate Operational Integrity Vice-President, presented our vision on safety and explained how we intend to reduce fatalities and accidents.

Since 2012, MINSEG has gathered authorities, specialists, leading professionals, experts and suppliers from the mining sector.

Organized by SGS and Area Minera Medios, this year's seminar was sponsored by SONAMI Mining Council and the Chilean Ministry of Mining.
