SGS Life Science Services, the leading pharmaceutical analytical and bioanalytical contract solutions provider, today announced two senior appointments at its new North American Life Science Services GMP/GLP laboratory in Carson, California, which is due to open in the third quarter of 2014.

Dr. McSorley brings over twenty years' experience within the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Originally in biotech financial analysis, she moved into regulatory affairs and clinical drug development, working for Alpha Therapeutic Corporation (now Grifols, Inc.) and has held positions in a number of companies including Amgen, Allergan, and more recently, Pathway Genomics Laboratory. An economist by education, Dr. McSorley holds a BS from the United States International University, San Diego, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science. In another new role at the site, SGS has also appointed Ms. Pojaman Zunggeemoge as Microbiology Manager. Ms. Zunggeemoge will focus on the practical management of the Microbiology Department at Carson and ensure the on-going compliance with SOPs. Prior to this position, Ms. Zunggeemoge had worked in a number of Quality roles at Baxter Healthcare and Silliker Inc. She holds a BS in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
