TOYS & JUVENILE PRODUCTS

NO. 165/15

An updated list of standards that give presumption of conformity to the decree 91-1292 relating to the prevention of risks arising from the use of childcare articles has been published to the French Official Journal on 25 September 2015 [1].

The list now includes revised standards:

  • NF EN1466: November 2014 - Carry cots and stands - Safety requirements and test methods [2].

And the new published standard for rest beds for collective use:

  • NF S54-045: December 2014 - Children's berths for non-domestic use - Safety requirements and test methods.

In order to ensure a smooth transitional period this text specifies that it will still be possible to produce or import articles that conform to any previous standards that have been replaced within one year from the date of publication. Thus, until 1 September 2016 carry cots and stands can conform to the old standard. This will also allow to sell out stock that is already constituted.
