Effective supply chain management and risk control is essential for success in the food industry. Understanding and implementing optimal methods of risk management can decrease supply chain vulnerability.

Participants revealed a variety of approaches to identifying sources of risk, assessing potential consequences of risk and managing risk exposure. They identified perceived benefits of good supply chain management, their priorities and the obstacles that they face when trying to implement effective systems.
