Vegetables on the Menu in Bangladesh

SGS in Bangladesh is launching a range of vegetable efficacy trials, alongside their existing rice efficacy trials service.

Supporting clients in the USA, China and domestically, the team will begin with potato, chilli, brinjal, tomato, cabbage and cauliflower efficacy trials. In addition, our Bangladesh field trials operation will also conduct varietal demonstration trials for maize, cabbage and cauliflower.

New Director Joins Seed & Crop Services in USA

SGS is pleased to welcome Bob Foley to the role of Director, Seed & Crop Services, based out of its Brookings, South Dakota, facility. Bob brings a wealth of experience and an expansive depth of knowledge to this role; he has been working as a genetics expert in the seed industry for over 27 years.

European Field Trial

In response to increased demand for pan-EU trials and the need for them to be handled consistently, SGS has invested heavily to extend its own expertise, at the same time as increasing and developing its field trial capabilities across the EU. SGS has been performing GLP and GEP trials for a number of years and can offer pan- EU coverage with more than 30 field trial stations in 10 EU countries (Spain, France, Italy, UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria) covering different cropping systems and registration zones.
