SGS and Gexcon, a leader in safety and risk management and advanced dispersion, explosion and fire modeling, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 7, 2015. Last month, the two market leaders met to discuss opportunities for collaborative working in the field of risk analysis and process safety.

Through this non-exclusive partnership program, Gexcon and SGS will work collaboratively with international clients in a variety of countries, helping them to effectively manage the risks related to process and technical safety. Specifically, the combined network and expertise will help both parties to offer on a large scale safety assessments, perform accident investigations as well as offer advanced dispersion, explosion and fire modeling.

For SGS, the collaboration means access to an additional pool of experts in the field of risk analysis and process safety. Gexcon's fire and explosion laboratories (large and small scale) will support SGS's portfolios of materials testing laboratories if and when needed.

For Gexcon, the collaboration means added market access through a number of potential synergies.
