Sherwin-Williams Offers Designers Opportunity To Showcase Work With #SWColorLove New user-generated content section on website to feature designer work

CHICAGO (June 15, 2015) - Sherwin-Williams today announced the addition of new user-submitted content that will appear on each color detail page on sherwin-williams.com. By utilizing #SWColorLove, designers are invited to be among the first to showcase their color projects, the unique ways they use Sherwin-Williams paint colors and their inspiration for color choices.

Each Sherwin-Williams color page will now feature user-submitted content for both completed paint projects and inspirational images. Designers can submit images of finished projects, mood boards and other inspirational content simply by using #SWColorLove on Instagram and Twitter. They can also submit images directly to the color's page by utilizing the website's simple photo upload feature.

This new user-submitted content initiative, #SWColorLove, will feature Sherwin-Williams colors in the context of real-life settings, which will provide valuable opportunities for designers to not only share their work, but also help their clients feel more confident when selecting paint colors.

"Making color decisions can be much easier when you can see how others have used them," said Meghan Vickers, director, e-business marketing, Sherwin-Williams. "We hope the opportunity to see a color in different spaces, lighting situations and design aesthetics will simplify the color selection process and provide designers with a new way to promote their work and show their #SWColorLove."

Each image will credit the owner of the photo, and images submitted via social media will also link to the original social media post. For more information on how to submit images, and the terms and conditions, please visit swcolorlove.com.
