Announce Operating Statistics for December 2016 Contracted Sales amounted to RMB6.01 billion

Operating Statistics for the month ended 31 December (unaudited)*

(January 6, 2017 - Hong Kong) Shimao Property Holdings Limited ("Shimao Property" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; stock code: 813) is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Group for the twelve months ended 31 December 2016.

In December 2016, the Group's contracted sales value amounted to approximately RMB6.01 billion (December 2015: RMB6.23 billion) and the contracted GFA amounted to 435,908 sq.m. (December 2015: 508,927 sq.m.). The Group's aggregated contracted sales for the twelve months ended 31 December 2016 amounted to approximately RMB68.12 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 2%. The average selling price for December 2016 was RMB13,782 per sq.m. and for the twelve months was RMB13,850 per sq.m..

The Group's newly launched projects in December received great responses - 408 units were sold out for Nantong City Centre project, 248 units were sold out for Qingdao Shimao Noble Town Yunjin project, and 514 units were sold out for Wuxi Fantastic Lane project. Moreover, Fuzhou Lianpan Shimao Shine City achieved a sales of RMB630 million in 2 hours, and is the first project in Fuzhou with ASP above RMB32,000 per sq.m. in 2016. It also broke the record of sales for a single launch in Fuzhou in 2016. For investment properties, the opening ceremony of Shishi Shimao Skyscraper City was held on 16 December, where government officials in Quanzhou and Shishi, management team of Shimao Property, retailers, media, Shimao's homebuyers, and citizens of Shishi gathered together to celebrate the opening of this leading commercial complex. Moreover, Ningbo Shimao Sunlake Centre launched a leasing ceremony in December. The project strives to cooperate with reputable brands and brings a new shopping and lifestyle experiences to Ningbo's citizens. For hotel operations, Minimax Hotel Xiamen Lakeside Garden was opened on 21 December, and brought artistic elements to the hotel scene in Xiamen. Moreover, DoubleTree by Hilton Ningbo Beilun with 379 rooms was officially opened on 28 December.
