(April 5, 2017 - Hong Kong) Shimao Property Holdings Limited ("Shimao Property" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; stock code: 813) is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2017.

In March 2017, the Group's contracted sales value amounted to approximately RMB10.23 billion (March 2016: RMB6.19 billion) and the contracted GFA amounted to 598,668 sq.m. (March 2016: 493,582 sq.m.). The average selling price for March 2017 was RMB17,081 per sq.m.. The Group's aggregated contracted sales value amounted to approximately RMB20.56 billion and aggregated contracted GFA amounted to 1,273,432 sq.m. for the three months ended 31 March 2017, representing year-on-year increases of 78% and 37% respectively. The average selling price for the three months was RMB16,143 per sq.m..

The Group's monthly contracted sales value and average selling price marked a historical high. This is attributable to the Group's quality saleable resources and product mix, as well as good sell-through of the Group's projects nationwide. The Group's new launches in March included Chengdu Shimao City, Chongqing Shimao Luxury Mansion, Wuxi Shimao Fantastic Time, Suzhou Shimao Bronze Swallow Terrace, Hefei Shimao Jade Mansion, Xiamen Jimei Shine City, Shaoxing Shimao Tianyue, Qingdao Shimao Noosa Bay, Changzhou Shimao Champagne Lake, Fuzhou Lianpan Shine City, Nantong Shimao In the Park, Wuhan Shimao Splendid River, Shenyang Shimao New Wulihe, Nanning Shimao Luxury Mansion etc. These projects all received great responses. On policy front, Premier Li Keqiang delivered the government work report in the opening session of 5th session of 12th NPC. He expressed to deepen the city-specific measures, increase land supply and prevent irregularities in cities with high ASPs while support the demand of end-users and newly urbanized population in cities with high-inventory. He urged to accelerate building up a long-term mechanism to propel stable and healthy development in property market, with government's focus on social housing. The urbanization progress is to be reinforced with 13 million new urban population targets. Small-mid or unique cities development is to be supported, with function as satellite cities in metropolitan areas. The housing welfare system is to be further improved, with 6 million shanty town redevelopment units be completed in 2017.
