Shoprite : World class in-store services at revamped Checkers Big Bay

After a major refurbishment, Checkers Big Bay in Bloubergstrand officially relaunched its new state-of-the-art store on Thursday, 24 August 2017.

The newly refurbished Checkers Big Bay promises greater convenience and an elevated customer experience through the introduction of new in-store services, including a coffee bar and sit-down sushi bar.

To celebrate the store's relaunch, customers were treated to countless special offers, in-store competitions as well as delicious tasters from the Cheese World range of over 400 speciality cheeses, SA's No.1 Championship Boerewors and more.

About the new store:

• Checkers Big Bay has a total of 14 pay points.
• In-store fresh food departments include a Meat Market, Fish Shop, Hot & Cold Foods Deli, Bakery, Fresh Fruit & Vegetables and Sushi Bar.
• A range of extensive services are available at the in-store Money Market counter including payment of municipal or service accounts, buying national lottery, bus, airline or Computicket event tickets, and much more.
• The store's trading hours are 09:00 - 20:00 from Mondays to Sundays.
• The revamp at Checkers Big Bay resulted in the creation of 48 new jobs in the local community.
