Entirely according to schedule, last month saw the installation and commissioning of the first three Siemens 6-MW turbines in Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm, which are now providing electricity to almost 6,000 UK households.

67 monopiles (manufactured by Sif) and 67 transition pieces (manufactured by Sif and Smulders) were installed in 2016, and this year the remaining 64 turbines will be placed 32 kilometres off the coast of the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk. Once complete, the wind farm will have a capacity of 402 MW and supply renewable electricity to 410,000 households.
