Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik (the main manufacturing facility of PJSC EMAlliance, which is a part of power-plant engineering concern OJSC Power Machines) has completed shipment of High Pressure Heaters for Tom-Usinskaya GRES of Siberian Generating Company (SGC). The shipment of the equipment has been performed according to the Investment Program of SGC.

According to the terms and conditions of the Contract EMAlliance has undertaken to design, manufacture and supply six High Pressure Heaters complete with quick-acting protective devices for the fourth and fifth Units of Tom-Usinskaya GRES. The equipment was designed by the specialists of the Engineering Division of EMAlliance (Taganrog), and was manufactured at the main manufacturing facility of the Company - Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik.

It would be appropriate to remind that HPHs are installed in the High Pressure Regeneration System of a Turbine Plant and are designed for the heating of feed water with a steam from a turbine extraction before the water supply to the Boiler.

The High Pressure Heaters manufactured by Krasny Kotelshchik for the Customer are designed for a magnitude 8 earthquake versus the High Pressure Heater supplied by the Company earlier for a magnitude 6 earthquake.

The first set of the equipment was supplied to the Plant in January 2013. In February the shipment of the last three HPH with the quick-acting protective device was completed.

Beside that, OJSC Power Machines has manufactured and tested a Steam Turbine for the fourth Power Unit of Tom-Usinskaya GRES of the Siberian Generating Company. In December 2010 the parties signed the Contract for the manufacture and supply of two Steam Turbines with capacity of 120 MW each for the fourth and the fifth Units of Tom-Usinskaya GRES. Under the Contract Power Machines shall not only manufacture and supply the Turbines but also shall perform the services of the equipment pre-commissioning.

The both Units of Tom-Usinskaya GRES are scheduled to be put in operation in Years of 2013-2014. The modernization will allow increasing the reliability of the Plant performance, as well as to increase the volume of electrical power generation, which is required for the further Region development.
