Sinclair names William lanesey General manager in oklahoma city, Oklahoma

Oklahoma City, OK (June 7, 2016) - Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that William Lanesey has been named General Manager for KOKH-TV (FOX) and KOCB-TV (CW) in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma market. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, 'Bill has spent the last 30 years working in sales and management positions for various television stations and has been successful in increasing market share and cash flow margins. Bill has also been actively involved in the communities where he has resided and he will be a welcome addition to the team in Oklahoma City.'

'I look forward to joining the Sinclair team in Oklahoma City and building on the successful foundation they have built over the past several years,' commented Mr. Lanesey. Mr. Lanesey most recently worked as Vice President General Manager at WXIX-TV (FOX) in Cincinnati, Ohio since 2008. From 1997 to 2008, he was Vice President General Manager at KPLR-TV (CW) in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to that, Mr. Lanesey was the Vice President of Sales at WCMH-TV (NBC) in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Lanesey has held other positions including National Sales Manager, Regional Account Executive, and Account Executive at WCMH-TV. Mr. Lanesey received a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
