Singapore Exchange (SGX) is pleased to welcome Hong Kong-based Zhongrong International Futures Company Limited as the newest trading member in its derivatives market.

Michael Syn, Head of Derivatives at SGX said, 'We are pleased that Zhongrong International has joined SGX as a Derivatives Trading Member as we continue to expand our footprint in Greater China. The active participation of Zhongrong and their network of clients will add to the liquidity of our growing suite of derivative products.'

Jiang Zhiwei, Managing Director of Zhongrong International Futures Company Limited, said, 'It is a great honour to be granted the trading membership of the derivatives markets by SGX. As one of the biggest Chinese financial institutions, Zhongrong has always been seeking for opportunities to increase our exposure in the overseas market. This partnership with SGX will strengthen our competitiveness by enabling us to offer our institutional and retail clients a more diversified investment platform with integrated derivatives solutions and services.'

The admission of Zhongrong International Futures Company Limited brings the total number of Trading Members in SGX's derivatives market to 53. The derivatives market also has 24 Clearing Members. In addition, there are 11 Clearing Members for OTC-traded financial derivatives. In the securities market, there are 28 Trading Members and 25 Clearing Members respectively.
