Singapore, 27 January 2016- Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH), today launched the inaugural Hospitality Investment Conference Philippines (HICP). Focusing on the Philippines' industry overview, branding and marketing, development trends and considerations, the event will be held on 27 and 28 Januaryat the Fairmont Makati, Manila, Philippines.

With the support of the Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Republic of the Philippines, HICP 2016 aims to be the archipelago's leading platform in addressing the opportunities and challenges facing the burgeoning hospitality industry in the Philippines. With content that is relevant to the hospitality investment landscape in the Philippines, HICP 2016 will facilitate dialogues amongst hotel owners, operators and managers, developers, investors and architects at the two-day networking and business matching platform.

Undersecretary of the Department of Tourism Mr Benito Bengzon Jr. will share his insights on the Philippine tourism sector in his keynote address this morning.

Mr Bengzon Jr., said: 'The Philippines is becoming an increasingly eminent player on the global tourism stage and the inaugural Hospitality Investment Conference Philippines 2016 will be a key event showcasing the Philippines as an attractive investment destination to our neighbours and friends in the region. The DOT welcomes you to visit the Philippines again in 2016.'
