Singapore, 16 February 2017- Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH), today launched the 2 edition of the Hospitality Investment Conference Philippines (HICP), which will be held from 16 - 17 February 2017at Fairmont Makati, Philippines.

HICP 2017 is the country's leading platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges offered by the growing hospitality and tourism sectors in the Philippines. It will facilitate networking and dialogues amongst hotel owners, operators, managers, developers, designers, architects, investors and technology providers from across the region.

Gracing the event as the Guest of Honour is Ms. Alma Rita D. Jimenez, Undersecretary for Tourism Regulation, Coordination and Resource Generation of the Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippines. She will be opening the event and delivering the Ministerial Keynote on behalf of the DOT.

At the finale session on the second day, Mr. Roberto C.O. Lim, Undersecretary for Aviation & Airports of the Department of Transportation, Philippines, will be having a dialogue with the delegation, addressing the archipelago's accessibility challenges.

Atty. Joy M. Bulauitan, Assistant Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) will also be speaking on the topic of 'Why invest in the Philippines?'.

Fifty industry leaders will be sharing their expert insights and experiences over the next two days on topics such as the Philippine Market Performance; Operations and Development; Markets, Segments and Trends; Destinations, Millennial Hospitality and Design Trends on the Domestic Front; as well as Hospitality Technology in the Philippines.
