Singapore, 28 June 2016- Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Limited, today opened the 4 annual Myanmar Banking and Finance Conference (MBFC 2016). The conference will be held from 28 - 29 June 2016at Sule Shangri-La Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar.

More than 250 banking and finance professionals from over 10 countries will be attending to discuss the latest banking initiatives and sector developments as Myanmar's banking sector continues to evolve and transform.

Over 25 local banks such as AGD Bank, Ayeyarwady Bank, CB Bank, KBZ Bank and Yoma Bank, as well as international banks such as ANZ, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Cathay United Bank, Citi, Maybank and Security Bank Corporation will be present.

Financial technology providers and consultancies including EFA Group, Entrust Datacard, Fortinet, Hitachi Omron, Kelvin Chia Yangon, Konica Minolta, NCR, Tess International and Vasco. INTERPOL and other senior experts in risk and compliance will be sharing their valuable insights on cyber security and risk frameworks. Asian Development Bank will also provide updates on the Trade Finance Program for the under-served community.
U Win Thaw, Director General, Central Bank of Myanmar, will be delivering a keynote speech on vision for Myanmar and efforts in modernising the banking and finance sector.
