Singapore, 8 September 2016- The Chinese Media Group (CMG) of Singapore Press Holdings has launched an 'upsized' Chinese news and infotainment website under the refreshed zaobao.sg brand.

Managed by CMG Digital (CMGD), the digital arm of CMG, the enhanced zaobao.sg will incorporate content and journalistic values of its three flagship papers - Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao, and Shin Min Daily News.

Apart from an upsized pool of content from the three Chinese publications, audiences can expect more exciting digital-exclusive video, animation and interactive content in the free sections of zaobao.sg. Subscribers can also access the e-papers of Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News on the website and apps of zaobao.sg.

With the refreshed site, the brand colours of the three publications are represented in the new zaobao.sg logo. The new brand also carries a new tagline - '早晚全新', which means new content throughout the day.

'' encompasses the key words from each of the three flagship papers' brand names (《联合报》、《联合报》、《明日报》). More importantly, it reflects the team's commitment to deliver updated news and engaging content throughout the day.

Ms Han Yong May, Digital Editor of Chinese Media Group and Associate Editor of Lianhe Zaobao, said: 'Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News have always brought credible, relevant and engaging news and infotainment content to Chinese readers. By incorporating content from the three publications, zaobao.sg will now encompass the best of Chinese media content in Singapore and provide our audiences with a one-stop station for their daily news, lifestyle, and entertainment needs.'

Ms Han said: 'We will continue to deliver the rich content and information of CMG products to our readers and audiences through various multimedia formats on zaobao.sg. Besides providing more content to existing readers of the three Chinese papers, we aim to attract more young bilingual and bicultural readers to the upsized zaobao.sg.'

zaobao.sg also incorporates the journalistic values and beliefs of Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News, and seeks to continue to reach out to the community. As such, a new and ongoing corporate social responsibility initiative 'Gamsia365' led by CMG has been launched in August as a prelude to the 'upsized'zaobao.sg, which aims to encourage and embrace the spirit of showing appreciation to people who make one's day through small gestures. More information can be found on http://gamsia365.zaobao.sg.

All zaobao.sg content is accessible on desktop browsers or the zaobao.sg mobile app (available on both iOS and Android smartphones and tablets), as well as via responsive mobile web browsers.
