On March 7, Sinoma Tianjin has signed Gana Owere Mines Gold mining EPC project as well as three-year operation and management contract with LIONGOLD CORP of Singapore. This the first cooperation between Sinoma Tianjin and LIONGOLD CORP.
The Owere Mines gold mining project is located in the Ashanti Gold Belt of Gana, 225 kilometers north of the capital city Accra. The nearest city is Kumasi. The scope of the contract is to provide engineering, procurement, installment, commissioning and three-year production, operation and management for the upgraded part of gold mining concentrator of Owere Mines Gana.

LionGold Corp Ltd is the largest gold mining listed company in South-east Asia. It has rapidly established itself in the global gold mining industry and now holds 7.0 million ounces of gold resources, with 900,000 ounces classified as reserves. Since March 2012, interests in eight gold exploration and mining companies have been acquired.

Based on the existing plants, LionGold Corp Ltd hopes to set up gold manufacturing plant with higher efficiency and lower cost and meanwhile employs companies with rich overseas engineering experiences to assist it in operation, maintenance and management. By thorough investigation and negotiation, LionGold finally chose Sinoma Tianjin as its strategic partner. This is also the first project on which LionGold cooperates with Chinese enterprise.

This is a milestone project for Sinoma Tianjin, marking its successful entrance into thenon-ferrous metallurgy industry. This project signifies the good cooperation relationship between Sinoma Tianjin and LionGold and lays a solid foundation for the forthcoming cooperation in gold mining as well as other non-ferrous projects.
